Our Partners
TechnoServe and its in-country staff provide technical advice on crops and seeds for our agricultural business ventures. We serve as judges for their business plan competitions and fund some of their prize winners. We work with the McKnight Foundation to train, fund and mentor members of the Teso Widows Entrepreneurs Association near Soroti, Uganda.
Exquisite Safaris Philanthropic Travel Worldwide integrates a first-class travel experience with visits to humanitarian outreach projects. They routinely visit rural villages where we operate to see our entrepreneurs at work and hear their stories. We remain grateful for the support from the Corporate and Foundation community: DLA Piper, Hewlett Packard, Mayer Brown, McKnight Foundation, Skoll Foundation, the West Foundation.

We work with the Jane Goodall Institute to recruit business mentors along the edge of the Budongo Forest Reserve in Western Uganda. These mentors help villagers create viable business alternatives to harvesting the forest for lumber or poaching animals. Dr. Goodall’s staff reviews business plans before they’re sent to us to ensure that the proposed enterprises are forest-friendly.
Project Redwood provided seed capital to start sunflower production businesses in Katine and Kamuda subcounties in Eastern Uganda. This collective of Stanford MBA alumni also lend their expertise and professional connections to advance our mission.
